Alex is Vice President and Head of the North America Strategy Office at Fujitsu, one of the world's leading information and communication technology (ICT) companies, with over $46 billion in annual revenue across more than 100 countries and 162,000 employees.
At Fujitsu, Alex heads up the Global Product Business strategy organization for the North American market and oversees strategic planning and business development for Fujitsu's global solutions (Enterprise, AI, SDx) with key Silicon Valley and US-based technology companies. In his role, Alex spearheaded the launch of the FUJITSU SOLUTIONS LAB, a technology partner incubator and customer POC showcase for Fujitsu's Enterprise data center solutions with innovative IT technology partners.
Previously at SanDisk, Alex headed up the company's venture capital investments (SanDisk Ventures) and spearheaded the company's first investments in the Enterprise Storage space (WHIPTAIL, Panzura, and Tegile Systems). WHIPTAIL was acquired by Cisco for $415 million, representing a 3X return within 9 months post-investment. In conjunction with these investments, Alex served as Board Observer for WHIPTAIL and Panzura.
At Brocade, Alex was Director of Corporate Development and led a team of Corporate Development direct reports to provide strategic analysis on Office of the CEO strategic initiatives, including strategic planning and M&A. Alex was a M&A deal team stakeholder on Brocade's $2.6B acquisition of Foundry Networks.
Prior to that, Alex served in both Engineering & product management roles at NetApp and started off his career as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Quantum Corporation's HDD division. Alex has a MBA from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
